Community Ties   Have you ever read the book, If you're not from the prairie ... written by David Bouchard? This book describes using the senses and what it FEELS like on the prairie, and describes how well you really can know the place where you are from. After reading the book, we talked about the place we are from, the city of Lowell, and all the places, memories, and things there are which we experience here. We are experts on Lowell, as David Bouchard is an expert on the prairie. We brainstormed places and experiences that are special to us in Lowell, and each chose somewhere special to us to write about. We visited that place again either physically or in our memories, and then wrote the following book, based on our feelings.
