Number 6, "The Little Red Schoolhouse" is shown in this 1998 photograph. The "No.6 Community Center" organization was formed in 1949 to preserve the 1851 schoolhouse which is located at the corner of Pleasant and Wachusett Streets in Leominster, MA.

Elsie (Powers) Fischer taught here for 32 years; she was known to prepare hot cocoa or tomato soup in the winter for students who carried cold lunches.
