Patrones para hacer las calacas para El Día de los Muertos

Directions:
- Enlarge the master and glue a copy of the model on tagboard.
- Cut out all of the parts.
- Decorate the figure with colors, sequins, glitters, etc.
- With a sharp instrument, punch out each point marked with a circle or an
"x".
- Put a piece of thread 10 inches long through the "x's" in the arms.
- Put another piece of thread, 10 inches long, through the "x's" in the legs.
- Make knots on each end of the threads without making them very tight.
- Cut any leftover thread.
- Connect the arms and legs to the body with paper fasteners. Make sure
that.they are very loose to allow for movement of the parts.
- Tie a 13 inch piece of thread in the middle of the thread that connects the
arms.
- Tie the same 13 inch piece of thread to the thread that connects the legs in the middle, as well.
- With tape, attach a wooden stick to the back of the body (in the middle) in
order to hold the figure in your hand. The stick must pass beneath the
threads.
- When you pull the thread, you will see how the skeleton dances.
